Lana and I were so excited to donate our hair to Locks of Love, finally. It was very special and a huge relief to recieve such excellent, complemetary haircuts and styles! We love Salon 56, and tell our friends about you all the time. We are going ot grow out our hair and donate again in a few years.

I had a great experience at salon 56 this weekend! Having grown out my hair for my wedding, I had the sudden and overpowering urge to cut it off RIGHT AWAY on Saturday. This would be impossible, given the jam-packed schedule of my usual hair stylist, so I came on yelp to see where to go in my new 'hood... and Salon 56 popped up.
I called and no one made me feel crazy for trying to get a same day on a Saturday, even though I know it kind of is. The friendly receptionist booked me right away for an appointment with Jessica. Walking into the salon, it has a bustling and stylish (but unpretentious) vibe.
I was offered a beverage and Jessica came to fetch me. She was incredibly friendly and fun to talk to and gave me a massage/shampoo that almost put me to sleep (a good thing!). She proceeded to cut my hair exactly in the way I was envisioning based on my description with a little more flair than I could have described, which showed me that she's a good listener and also creative.
I definitely want to go back and see Jessica for color!

Go see Tiffany at Salon 56! Getting my hair cut by her is one of my favorite things to do, because I get to relax, enjoy a glass of vino, and feel secure that my hair will always turn out amazing. Every time she does my hair whether it be cut, color, or highlights, I get a million compliments. She also cuts my fiances and our kiddos hair - the boys just love her! She's a sweetheart and she knows what she's doing. The staff is courteous and the interior very clean and modern. Oh, and Tiffany gives a great scalp massage, too. Great experience all around!

I got what I was looking for there: quality hair cut and color. Can't speak about everyone in the place: but Jaime Olvera was amazing. He's really knowledgeable about the coloring and has a great sense of style. The salon itself looks trendy and it's a pleasure to come in.

Love Salon 56!! Here's the story. I foolishly tried to lighten my own hair which was already colored a dark chocolate (almost black) brown. The results were horrifying to say the least and when I called my stylist of 8 years (somewhere else) she said she could fit me in then cancelled on me 2 hours before my appointment. I was so pissed!! So I decided to try Salon 56 since by friend Bunny (fellow Yelper) had recently had her hair cut and said it was a nice place. I made my appointment and the process of fixing my ruined tresses began. Let me also stop and tell you that when you sit down, the first thing they ask you is can I get you something....water, iced tea, BEER, WINE....I'm sorry, did you just offer me a glass of wine during my haircut? Am I dreaming because if so, don't wake me! My stylist was nice as nice can be and really great with color. She even conferred with some of the other stylists to make sure my color was going to come out perfectly. Not only was she able to fix that horrible mess I made with the box of hair color but I walked out of there last night looking FAB!! Highlights, awesome layered cut, perfect, perfect, perfect!! If you need a fabulous haircut and color or whatever, please go see Salon 56. Seriously, anyone who can fix my hair at the state it was in deserves all the praise and business I can possibly throw their way. Thanks, love, love Salon 56!!
